Each academic year, CUMS welcomes applications for the opportunity to perform a concerto with one of their ensembles in the following season.

 

The first round for the CUMS Concerto Competition 2018 will be held on 31 January 2018.

The final round will take place on 13 February 2018.

Cambridge University Musical Society Concerto Competition 2017

We are delighted to announce that Stephanie Childress, violin, is the winner of our 2017 Concerto Competition. Stephanie will perform with Cambridge University Orchestra in the 2017-18 Season.

Congratulations also to Toby Hession, piano and Adelaide Yue, piano, who will perform concertos with Cambridge University Sinfonia, and Nick Smith, trumpet, who will perform with Cambridge University Wind Orchestra.

Congratulations to our other finalists, Edward Reeve, piano, William Clark-Maxwell, cello and Leo Popplewell, cello, who will perform as part of the 2017-18 Cambridge University Lunchtime Concert Series.
