Cambridge University Musical Society: CUMS Chorus

About the CUMS Chorus

CUMS Chorus is East Anglia's most ambitious choral society. It is open to members of the University and local residents. The Chorus performs with the world-renowned Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as CUMS I and Prime Brass, in venues including King's College Chapel and the Royal Albert Hall.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings during Full Term, and perform at least four full-scale concerts each year. Our Principal Conductor is Stephen Cleobury, Director of Music at King's College, Cambridge and Conductor Laureate of the BBC Singers. This year we will also perform with Tim Brown, Director of Music at Clare College and Conductor of English Voices.

Join the Chorus this year to sing works by Elgar, Haydn, Walton and Beethoven, plus the world premiere of a major new commission from Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Master of the Queen's Music.
