CUMS II: Introduction
CUMS II is a friendly, relaxed Symphony Orchestra that combines a vibrant social scene with high quality music making. Entirely student conducted, it provides great oppertunities for all members of the University to enjoy playing. Join CUMS II this year and take part in a programme including symphonies by Dvorak, Borodin, Stravinsky, Strauss, and concertos by Rautavaara and Schumann.
Introducing CUMS II
Want to play in a symphony orchestra with a relaxed atmosphere, with some of the best student conductors and soloists in the University?
CUMS II plays a challenging programme of popular symphonic works from the last 250 years. Recent performances have included Mendelssohn's Overture from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and Violin Concerto, Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto, Tchaikovsky's Second Symphony and Dvořák's Seventh Symphony.
