A Committee Meeting was held on 13 March 2007 at 1pm. in Lecture Room 1, in the Music School, West Road.

2. Minutes: The minutes of the last meeting were agreed and signed.

3. Matters Arising: Convenors will appoint (if they do not have one) a publicity officer, who will help Rosica with poster distribution.. Action: Convenors. Mark has made a start on getting CUMS I more active in managing themselves. Action: MG. JH suggested we pursue the offer of a keyboard Action: JH, SF

4. June meeting. Arranged for June 18^th at 13.30. Action: MH

5. Program: JW suggested that we try and stick to the budget guidelines distributed in the meeting. Stephen suggested that we need to pull the program together in a more disciplined way. He will meet with Maggie and the conductors to pull things together. This will be budgeted, with the aim of meeting the budget guidelines and sent to JW prior to the next meeting. Action: SC, MH, Conductors, librarian, instrument manager

6. Secretary: The scope of the roles, as described, was agreed. It was agreed that we should ask Sarah Chambre to take on some self-funding projects. It was also agreed to interview the student candidates for the Orchestral Manager. There was a desire to explore options for the CUMS secretary position - further candidates will be identified if possible and candidates interviewed at the same time as we interview the Orchestral Manager candidates. A proposal will then be brought to the main committee Action: MH to arrange interview dates, JW to identify further candidates for the secretary position

7. Librarian: We need to find a CUMS librarian Action: MH to send an email appeal out

8. Ensemble reports: CUMS I, Zephyr and the Chorus all reported back. CUMS I and the Chorus had performed successful concerts, and the Zephyrs will perform their schools concert tomorrow.
