Join the Cambridge University Orchestra for the first concert of the 2017-18 Season, along with guest conductor and pianist (and Cambridge alumnus) Tom Poster. The programme is eclectic and exciting – from Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.21 in C major, featured in the 1976 film Elvira Madigan, to the modernism of Milhaud, via Saint-Saëns’ ever-popular Carnival of the Animals. The programme also showcases the ability of CUO to perform symphonic repertoire, opening with Bernstein’s large-scale overture, as well as the chamber repertoire for which CUCO was so renowned. The Season Launch Concert is always a highlight of the year, so book your tickets soon to avoid disappointment!
